It is a bubble you get wrapped up in. Maybe it may be a good thing this happens to wake them up to the ttat. -

I spent an hour with a 70ish Sister on her new iPad and put the 3 JW apps 1st and right in a row. The next day she came to the Meeting, without her device and said: "I still don't get it, I'm sticking to paper". -

Tech Savvy because from the platform and out in the Ministry they want(GB), Elders to take the lead in Using Electronic Devices to attract People to the BORG. During our recent CO visit, the CO used his iPAD for every meeting part and then again in the Ministry. Many of the Older Ones are having difficulty in this area and in some cases you have these older ones refusing to go along, including older Elders.
I saw an older prominent Elder that was always used on Assembly and Convention Committees and Programs not being used any longer. I asked what happened. He said, "We were instructed to train Elders in their 30's and 40's to know how to do our jobs for further growth in the Organization, only for them to take our position".

Thanks millie210
At the End of the Day, they are all people. I wished all Elders would come around to that, but many allow rules and ego to cloud their judgement.

It was announced recently, That "Bro. Z is no long the Coordinator(76 years old), Bro Y(60) is now the new Coordinator of the Body of Elders".
You see, Bro. Z has been an Elder for 43 years and 35 of them as the COBE/PO. I served with him for the last 25 of those years. I went up to him after the meeting in which the announcement made and told him I much I enjoyed his leadership and the training he gave me and that that serving no longer as the COBE made no difference on how I viewed him. He started balling!
I was a little embarrassed for him and just hugged him. He re-gained his composure, and explained that the CO's (Organization), want Tech Savvy Elders as the Coordinator. This man has had High Up positions in this Organization such as Convention and Assembly Overseer. He has none of these responsibilities anymore, all taken away from him.

Inviting disfellowshipped to the memorial
by wannaexit ini read in a european ex jw forum that this year they are making a special effort to invite not only the inactive but also a special effort is made to invite all disfellowshipped.
.
i don't know if this as always been a common practice, or something started anew so they can boast about the numbers of attendees..

A Watchtower article in 1991 came out inviting all DF and DA to come back. A letter to the BOE, said every September the BOE should have a meeting and discuss any of those known that are in the Territory, who are Inactive, DF or DA, should be contacted. But if they are known Apostates, or living a scandalous lifestyle, leave them alone.
Every year when the CO came around he would make sure we have followed through on this directive and wanted a list those Elders who were assigned these calls.

Memorial Non-Attendance: The Single Most Impactful TTATT Witness to JW Friends & Family
by AMNESIANO innote: the following is submitted in full recognition of and with compassion and due respect for those who, due to personal circumstance, feel they are unable to employ this powerful strategy.. ---.
anyone who has awakened to ttatt and has conscientiously left the organization--especially a once-prominent, highly-regarded, studious true-believer from a celebrated multi-generational tribe of jws-- after decades of devout, high-profile "serve-us," who continues to put in an annual appearance at the memorial thoroughly subverts and undermines, by this one act, any hope s/he may entertain that his/her departure will stir family or former friends to question the whole watchtower bamboozle.
by this one concession s/he assigns him-/herself by every single jw to their handy and dismissive purgatory: the "spiritually-weak.".

Can you make your point simple. I am lost with a play on words. What point are you trying to make? -
